Version 2.3.0 of the Qboxmail WHMCS Module

We have released a new version of the Qboxmail WHMCS module that significantly expands the functionality available to resellers who use WHMCS as their automation and billing platform.

The module integrates Qboxmail directly into provisioning and billing processes and keeps the technical and administrative sides aligned. With this release we have extended the management scope, introducing new features that affect both service configuration and monetization.

What changes with this version

In addition to the existing features, the module now includes:

• support for the Email Archive service, with the ability to activate and bill email archiving for customers directly from WHMCS
• management of additional sends per email mailbox with dedicated billing, starting from the base limit of 250 and extendable to 1000, 2000, or 5000 sends
• the module automatically provisions the Qboxmail service when a reseller orders a web hosting service
• improved support for the Lagom theme
• detection of existing Qboxmail domains not present in WHMCS, with the ability to import them to align them with billing
• a new internal dashboard with operational statistics, server status, and connection tests

Broader management of email services

The module allows partners to create and manage email mailboxes, change passwords, adjust quotas, configure aliases, and offer direct access to Webmail or the Control Panel. With this version we have extended management to new elements that strengthen the integration between the technical platform and the billing system.

Partners can now activate the Email Archive service directly from WHMCS and link it to its billing. Archiving therefore becomes part of the standard sales and management workflow, without external manual actions.

We have also introduced the ability to purchase additional sends per email mailbox, starting from the base value of 250 and extending it to 1000, 2000, or 5000, associating each extension with a dedicated billing logic. This approach allows Partners to manage even advanced parameters in a structured way as commercial options.

Alignment between provisioning and billing platforms

Over time it may happen that some domains are created directly on Qboxmail or activated before implementing the integration with WHMCS. In these cases the domain is operational but does not appear in WHMCS as a product assigned to a customer.

The new version of the module identifies domains already present on Qboxmail that do not appear in WHMCS and lets Partners import them into the system and assign them to the correct customer. In this way Partners can align what they deliver at a technical level with what they manage at an administrative level, avoiding misalignments and repetitive manual activities.

The deactivation of email services now follows the same logic as other WHMCS services, therefore it is possible to “suspend” or “terminate” Qboxmail services for customers by following WHMCS automation.

Provisioning and control

We have extended the behaviour of the module also during the order phase, so as to automate the activation of Qboxmail when it is sold together with a web hosting service. In this way the activation workflow becomes more linear and consistent with the reseller’s overall offer.

The new internal dashboard provides an operational view with statistics, server status and connection tests, offering an immediate control point directly within the WHMCS environment and simplifying verification activities.

The upgrade has also improved compatibility with the Lagom theme, ensuring greater graphical consistency in the client area.
From now on the cart will no longer show the product price as 0, but the correct value as set in the WHMCS “Configurable Options”.

The module is no longer limited to mailbox management; it now also includes compliant email archiving as a service that resellers can sell and bill.
These updates strengthen the integration between Qboxmail and WHMCS and give resellers more precise control over both the technical side and the commercial management of email services.
